FRANCES CARCELLAR

A member of the Synthetic Biology Team, Frances is engineering bacterial strains to produce nitrogen biofertilizer. A lover of the planet Earth and of human ingenuity, Frances is driven to seek solutions to climate change and water pollution. Prior to joining Switch, she has a background in developing algal biofuels, biodegradable polyurethane foams, and bio-based nylon. In her downtime, she is an avid camper, tinkerer, bibliophile, amateur birder, and admirer of bees.
